Walkers are indeed incredible. For some reason (perhaps the richness) you don’t want to sit down and devour a whole box like you do with other cookies. A small scoop of raspberry sorbet and a couple of Walkers is a great dessert. OR, a nice glass of scotch? Now we are talking terroir pairing…

Even though high in calories, food like this will not make you as fat as processed food with lots of chemicals added. Easy reason here: liver encounters chemicals and essentially does triage. Chemicals need to be filtered first, therefore fat calories are sent directly to cells to be dealt with later. When no chemicals present, liver deals with fat immediately, breaking it down into metabolic bite-sized chunks that go to bloodstream and are burned up with even moderate amounts of activity. Ergo, whole, real foods, even if high calorie are not as fattening as processed foods.

I just had my first Walkers Shortbread today. I went to the web to confirrm the ‘lack’ of ingredients. I salute you.
My fiance is from Scotland, and he is always bragging about Walkers.
After biting into my first Shortbread I literally rolled my eyes back in my head.
Would love to visit your bakery if we ever get to Scotland,…are you open to tours?

I appreciate your commitment to simplicity, honest ingredients, and a time-honored recipe. I hope you are successful in continuing to penetrate the US market with your products. So far, I have only found your Pure Butter Shortbread at Walmart, but am constantly keeping my eye out at other grocers for them.
