Recipe: Smoked Salmon Cajun Fettuccine Alfredo

Smoked Salmon Cajun Fettuccine Alfredo

Smoked Salmon Cajun Fettuccine Alfredo

Wow!  If you’re looking for a creamy, decadent, flavor packed new twist on classic fettuccine alfredo, try our smoked salmon Cajun version. The subtle smoked flavor of the salmon pairs perfectly with the Cajun spices, while the rich cream of the sauce balances out the flavors and tones down the Cajun heat to a perfect zing in your mouth.  This dish is so good, you will find it hard to believe you didn’t pay $30 for it at a restaurant.  And the amazing part is that it only takes 8 minutes to make!

This recipe was inspired by the amazing smoked salmon from Two Rivers Smoked Fish company in Sun Valley, Idaho.  Their fish is so fantastic, we had to create something equally as fantastic with it.  You can order their products online, but if you don’t have any available, any mild smoked salmon will do in this recipe.

Ingredients Needed to Make Cajun Fettuccine Alfredo with Smoked Salmon

  • 4 ounces unsalted butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons blackened seasoning
  • 4 ounces smoked salmon
  • 8 ounces fettuccine
  • Chopped chives to garnish

How to Make The Best Cajun Alfredo

Fill a large pot with enough salted water to cook the fettuccine in.  Bring to a boil, and add fettuccine.  Cook until fettuccine is al dente, about 8-minutes.

While fettuccine is cooking, melt butter in a large saute pan over medium-low heat.  Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.  Add cream and bring to a boil.  Allow cream to reduce until thickened, about 5 minutes.  Add Parmesan, seasoning, and salmon, and stir until cheese is melted and incorporated.
